First Guest Speaker:

Dr KRY Nallis, Dean at the Faculty of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia

Nallis is currently Dean at the Faculty of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia. She received her Bachelor Degree in 2007 from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, her Master’s degree in Materials Science in 2009 from the Universiti Sains Malaysia and was awarded her Ph.D. in 2013 from the Universiti Sains Malaysia which included an 8 months attachment at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. Her MSc. and Ph.D. studies were fully funded by ASEAN University Network/Southeast Asia Engineering Education Development Network (AUN/SEED-Net). She started her first job as a lecturer at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia after the completion of her Ph.D. in 2013 and she was promoted to be Head of Department of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering in 2014. From June 2017, she has become Dean after the Department of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering has been upgraded to be the Faculty of Geo-resources and Geotechnical Engineering. Besides being a Dean, she also joins some research activities which are focused on cultural heritage and plastic recycling in Cambodia.
